Summary
Unfortunately, there is no mention of "breacher syndrome" in any of the three given research summaries. Therefore, it can be assumed that it is not a widely recognized or established syndrome in the context of healthcare or medical research. It is possible that it may be a term used in a specific field or by a particular group of practitioners, but without additional information or context, it cannot be accurately defined or explained.

11 In summary, gaps in the vascular endothelium caused by its dysfunction and lack of protection from platelet cooperation cause bleeding in DIC. What about the role of coagulation factors? Consumption coagulopathy is a common sobriquet for DIC. Extensive and uncontrolled coagulation activation in DIC does consume coagulation factors and hence the nom de plume, consumption coagulopathy. These tests were devised to diagnose individual clotting factor deficiency like hemophilia and not an acquired bleeding disorder like DIC. For the same reasons that the prolonged PT/APTT in liver disease or in a newborn because of decreased synthesis of multiple factors do not translate to increased bleeding risks, consumption of same factors does not escalate the hemorrhagic risk in DIC.13 For these reasons, replacing coagulation factors is not necessary in patients with DIC unless the hemostatic factors are indeed below the hemostatic range.

Parents are often encouraged to aid in hands-on care of their hospitalized child, making parental presence the cornerstone of family-centered care. Family-centered care respects each child and family's innate strengths and cultural values and views the health care experience as an opportunity to build on these strengths.

One of these died shortly after LTx due to septic infection, possibly related to his poor condition before LTx. The other died 1 year after LTx due to relapse of the hematologic malignancy, but notably, the interval from allo-HSCT to LTx was only about 1 year in this patient. As we may assume that the follow-up after LTx is not very different between most LTx centers, the difference in case fatality rate may be the results of different patient selection.

Precepts of the Two Major Moral Syndromes Guardian precepts are what guide people when they take responsibility for territories and need to maintain public order and safety, combat corruption, and deal with enemies, among other things; commercial precepts guide people when they manage viable businesses. To be sure, medicine's moral range extends well beyond guardian precepts, and medicine has always incorporated some precepts from the commercial side, including competition and honesty.

Using a capabilityinformed analysis, I detailed threats to central human capabilities that undermine dignity for people with dementia and provide practical suggestions for managing these threats in paradigm cases. For early stage dementia, support for practical reasoning might involve reorienting strategies, like displaying photos of loved ones Safeguarding the capability for affiliation and play can occur by engaging people with dementia in humming songs together, playing cards or using different modalities of touch and voice to convey care.

Israel destroyed an uncompleted nuclear reactor near Baghdad in 1981 and Iraqi aircraft attacked a partly constructed nuclear power plant in 1984. Even if there is no strategic plan to attack Ukraine's nuclear power facilities, can we count on field commanders or local artillery officers to understand the wildly different implications of attacking a nuclear power facility versus a coal or gasfired electricitygenerating facility? Russian troops have already captured Chernobyl.

Although the U.S. Surgeon General claimed in the mid-1970s that infectious diseases had been conquered, the ensuing years have brought us Legionnaires disease; the toxic shock syndrome; an awareness of Lyme disease; an outbreak of hantavirus infection; and, of course, HIV. The discovery that peptic ulcer and gastric cancer are manifestations of Helicobacter pylori infection has led to an increasing search for the infectious nature of other noninfectious diseases, such as atherosclerosis. What Is a Pathogen, Anyway? In medicine, we view pathogens as any microorganism capable of causing disease; the emphasis is on the disease, not the microorganism.

The author questions the wisdom of Professor Meadow in bringing attention to the connection between sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and infanticide, arguing that it only increases unnecessary worry for parents. However, the author does acknowledge the importance of experienced paediatric pathologists conducting postmortem examinations in cases of infant death, a role that is currently carried out by general pathologists. The author suggests that continuing research into the causes of sudden infant death is more important than exposing cases of infanticide, which contributes to reducing the incidence of SIDS and advancing knowledge in other ways. Overall, the article highlights the need for specialized expertise in investigating infant deaths and calls for more investment in this area of pathology research.

Stigma and discrimination towards people living with HIV and AIDS can lead to major obstacles in HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support. A qualitative exploratory approach was taken to explore the factors attributable to stigma and discrimination of people living with HIV in two Ethiopian rural hospitals. Data collection was via audio-taped interviews and Tesch's content analysis approach, with 16 participants who were people living with HIV admitted to the two hospitals. Results showed participants' views on fear of contact, substandard services, impoliteness of health care providers, breach of confidentiality, and poor patient follow-up. The study demonstrated that health care settings can lead to stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV and AIDS. Therefore, hospital policies and institutional support must be tailored to embrace individuals living with HIV, as institutional support is critical to creating a positive working environment and improving the commitment of healthcare professionals. This move can enable healthcare professionals to provide holistic care without discrimination for the benefit of People Living with HIV and AIDS.

Anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are severe clinical disorders with increasing incidence, yet animal models have not been utilized much for investigation. This is due to clinicians emphasizing the complexity of these syndromes and experimentalists rejecting potential rodent models as insufficiently complex. However, the criterion of an animal model replicating all important aspects of the human syndromes is unnecessarily restrictive, and animal models of other medical and psychiatric disorders do not fulfill this criterion. For example, 50 animal models of obesity have been extensively investigated since 1939, all with different etiologies but producing a common syndrome. The use of imperfect animal models leads to closer scrutiny of the clinical condition and new clinical insights. Therefore, the barrier to the development of animal models of human eating disorders should be breached to scrutinize the presumed secondary position of these disorders in the hierarchy of psychopathology that characterizes these patients.
