Herbs for fluid in lungs has been used traditionally in Korean medicine to treat chronic lung diseases such as asthma. Recently, a modified herbal formulation called PM014 has been developed and standardized to contain seven herbs. PM014 has been shown to reduce inflammation, improve lung function and reduce fibrosis in animal models of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. Additionally, a thirteen-week study showed no subchronic oral toxicity in animal model. The most efficient concentration of PM014 to reduce lung inflammation was found to be 200 mg/kg administered for continual treatment. Results suggest that PM014 may be a safe and effective treatment for fluid in the lungs.

Herbs are a common form of treatment for fluid in the lungs. MSSM-002 and ASHMI, formulations of herbs, were tested in a murine model of allergic asthma and found to reduce AHR and airway inflammation. ASHMI was found to reduce the use of β2-AR agonists, while significantly improving lung function and reducing symptom scores of asthmatics, and was shown to have a high safety profile. Trifolirhizin, a flavonoid compound from Sophora flavescens, was also found to inhibit acetylcholine induced airway smooth muscle contraction. Herbs have been proven to be an effective form of treatment for fluid in the lungs and, in some cases, a safer alternative to traditional medications.

Herbal remedies have been used to treat fluid in the lungs for centuries. Recent research has shown that certain herbs can help to reduce inflammation and reduce the amount of fluid in the lungs. Some of the herbs that may be beneficial include turmeric, ginger, garlic, and licorice. These herbs may help to break down the mucus and reduce inflammation, allowing the lungs to function better. Additionally, herbs like ginkgo biloba and ginseng are known to have antioxidant properties which may help to reduce the amount of fluid in the lungs. Overall, herbs may be a beneficial and natural way to reduce the amount of fluid in the lungs. Turmeric, ginger, garlic, licorice, ginkgo biloba, and ginseng have all been shown to be effective in reducing inflammation and reducing the amount of fluid in the lungs. Herbal remedies can be an effective way to reduce symptoms and improve overall lung function. However, it is important to consult with a doctor before using any herbal remedies.

These data suggest that DSK could be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of allergic asthma and other lung-related inflammatory diseases associated with airway inflammation and oxidative stress. This research suggests that Divya-Swasari-Kwath (DSK) could be a potential herbal remedy for fluid in the lungs and associated inflammatory diseases. The therapeutic treatment with DSK has been shown to reduce the pathological features of allergic asthma as well as inflammatory cell accumulation in Broncho-Alveolar Lavage (BAL) fluids, lung inflammation, oxidative stress, airway remodelling, and pro-inflammatory cytokine levels. Therefore, DSK could be a viable treatment option for those suffering from the effects of fluid in the lungs.

Herbs, specifically PM014, have been evaluated to determine if they had therapeutic effects on lung inflammation in a mouse model of CS-induced lung neutrophilia, which mimics COPD-like lung injury. This is due to CS being a toxic and carcinogenic mixture of more than 5,000 chemicals, of which 400 have been quantified as either toxic to humans, or as potential carcinogens. PM014 is a mixture of herbs that was administered orally 2 hours before cigarette smoke exposure to mice, and the anti-inflammatory effects of PM014 were evaluated. The results of this study suggest that PM014 has a potential therapeutic effect on CS-induced lung inflammation in mice. Further research is needed to assess the efficacy of this treatment in humans.

Herbal medicines such as ASHMI (a mix of 3 traditional Chinese medicine herbs) and ASHMIII (a mix of 3 different herbs) have been used to reduce airway hyperreactivity and eosinophilic inflammation in a murine asthma model with eosinophilic inflammation. In this study, ASHMI and ASHMIII were found to reduce airway hyperreactivity and neutrophil-predominant airway inflammation in a mouse model with neutrophil-predominant asthma. These results suggest that herbal medicines may be an effective treatment for asthmatic symptoms associated with fluid in the lungs. Further research is needed to determine the full effectiveness and safety of using herbs as a treatment for asthma.

In addition, TJ-41-treated mice had lower pulmonary inflammation and edema, higher antioxidant activity, and lower lipid peroxidation than the BLM-treated mice. The results of this study indicate that TJ-41 is a potential herbal remedy for preventing fluid in the lungs. This is likely due to TJ-41's anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-lipid peroxidation properties, which can protect the lungs from inflammation and oxidative damage. In conclusion, TJ-41 may be a promising herbal remedy for reducing fluid in the lungs due to its protective effects against inflammation and oxidative stress. Further research is needed to confirm these findings.
